Architecture of Floating House Design Like a Luxury Cruise Ship
Amid the threat of global warming that has an impact on changes in extreme weather, what is the most appropriate shelter to build? For Arkup, a Florida-based company, multi-level cruises that double as modern homes are the answer. Arkup designed a residence that could float where at the same time it also functioned as a cruise ship. This residence is equipped with hydraulic legs that can lift the building to reach a height of 20 feet or about 6 meters. In addition, immersed solar panels can produce power up to 30 kW which can later be used to turn on double wheels, electricity, and various other electronic equipment.
“Floating houses are a residential concept popular in several parts of the world,” Arkup wrote as quoted by the New Atlas. Even though it functions like a ship, Arkup believes that anyone who enters it will not feel drunk. Because, the building that was designed as large as 404 meters was judged to be as sturdy as a house, although it can run at speeds of seven knots, resisting storms and waves, including winds up to speeds of 155 mph
